Grant S. Carson Member

Grant is currently the head for the TRUK cluster in the Emerging Markets. In addition, he is also responsible for all of Citi’s non-presence business in 52 countries in EMEA and responsible for the Consumer banking franchises in UK, Russia, UAE & Poland. He is also a Board Member for Junior Achievement Europe under the auspices of the Citi Foundation.

Prior to this, he was the EMEA Regional Head for Global Subsidiaries Banking Group. In this role since mid 2016, he had leadership responsibility for the largest GSG region globally, covering 44 countries.

Before returning to London, he spent two years in Japan as Deputy President of Citibank Japan Ltd and Non-Executive Director of Citi Cards Japan Ltd and the senior Citi Holdings Executive who oversaw the divestiture of the Retail Banking and Credit Card Franchises.

From 2011-2014, Grant was the Citi Country Officer (CCO) for Greece & Cyprus responsible for all ICG and Consumer Operations. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Diners Club Greece S.A. and a Board Member of the Hellenic Banks Association during the Greek Sovereign crisis.

Prior to his roles in Greece, he held a number of senior positions across Citi including Managing Director of the International Personal Banking Business in EMEA based in London from 2007–2011, Head of International Business Development for Citi Australia, based in Sydney from 2003–2004 and in the Asset Based Finance unit of Citi South Africa from 1998–2000

Before joining Citibank South Africa in the Emerging Local Corporates business in 1998, he began his banking career in the Asset Based Finance divisions of Nedcor Bank Ltd. and Standard Bank Ltd.
