Laura joined JA Europe in February 2021 as a Programme Associate. She holds two masters, one in European and International Studies, and another in International Cooperation.
Laura’s dedication to social affairs and entrepreneurship has translated into an active participation in NGO’s and civil society organizations, where she was committed to designing a response focused on risk reduction, inclusion and sustainability. Prior to joining JA Europe, she worked in Lebanon and in Turkey strengthening the resilience mechanisms of those children affected by conflict and displacement. She also volunteered for two years teaching Spanish to migrants and refugees in Spain. By combining her studies with experience in local NGOs, she could understand the real-life challenges of implementing projects in complex environments and the necessity of including innovative approaches.
She has studied and worked in different countries – France, Israel, Tunisia, Lebanon, Turkey and Spain - acquiring excellent cross-cultural skills. She is Spanish and besides her native tongue she speaks English, French and Arabic.
