Maryna Venneri Senior Development Associate

Maryna joined JA Europe in March 2021 as a Development Associate after finishing her joint Master’s degree in European and Global Affairs. 

Maryna has always been passionate about education and entrepreneurship which was translated into her participation in numerous Erasmus+ projects. She taught English to preschool children in Guadalajara, Mexico, and worked on creating projects for the children in a local refugee camp in the Netherlands. 

Maryna acquired her professional experience through Ukrainian and international civil society organizations working on projects and events that address human rights violations and security challenges. Amongst her previous experiences, Maryna worked with the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum in Brussels and conducted a Black Sea Security Fellowship at the Middle East Institute in Washington D.C. Before joining JA Europe, Maryna was assisting the German Marshall Fund of the US in project development and event organization. 

Maryna is a Ukrainian with an international background. She studied and lived in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK, and Belgium which allowed her to develop a strong set of multicultural management skills such as respect for diversity, open-mindedness, and flexibility. She is bilingual in Ukrainian and Russian, fluent in English, German, Dutch, and has limited working knowledge of Italian and French.
