Five JA alumni are in the running for the AmCham EU Youth Entrepreneurship Award 2019. They were selected amongst 19 candidates from across Europe who all have participated in a JA programme, have made it past the initial start-up phase and have a business concept with strong growth potential.

They all say that the practical entrepreneurial experience they had at school changed their outlook and direction in life. Today they are outstanding entrepreneurs and leaders, creating value and “leaving a lasting footprint.”
In its third edition, FERD’s LIST celebrated eleven honourees during a ceremony at the Vienna University of Economics in front of 400 young people from 60 countries attending the JA Global Alumni Conference.

The official launch of the Youth Employment Magazine is announced on the UN International Day of Friendship. Nearly 200 institutions from 26 European countries implementing projects financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway unite to share results of their initiatives aimed at combatting youth unemployment in Europe.

The mini-company Entella Company from Turkey won JA Europe Company of the Year 2019, hosted this year by JA France Entreprendre Pour Apprendre, in Lille.
The Company of the Year Competition is the flagship event of JA Europe that empowers students aged 15-18 to run a mini-company from top to bottom. It fosters their entrepreneurial skills, giving them the opportunity to design a business concept and apply it in real life.

Three student projects from across Europe won yesterday the 2019 Social Innovation Relay. So-Bikers from Bulgaria, Mon(k)ey$ from the Czech Republic and MNEMON from Greece presented the most innovative ideas with strong societal impact and market potential.
