  • JA presents policy paper to G20 Education Ministers

    G20 governments must team up with business communities to revamp the world’s outdated education systems that aren’t preparing young people for the job market of the future. This is one of the main recommendations in JA Worldwide’s policy paper Education, The Future of the Labour Market, and Youth Skills, which will be presented at the first-ever G20 meeting of Ministers of Education in Argentina on Wednesday.

    After a year-long entrepreneurial experience, developing their own company from the idea to reality, over 200 students gathered in Belgrade (Serbia) to compete with their counterparts from across Europe. 39 student-teams took part in the European competition, as part of JA Europe’s flagship JA Company Programme, which gives them the opportunity to set up and run a real business, supported by teachers and business mentors.

    Out of some 15,000 university students enrolled this year in the JA Start Up Programme, BIOFY, a Spanish startup won the European Enterprise Challenge Award 2018 during JA Europe Enterprise Challenge after winning the national final of the JA Start Up Programme in Spain.
    JA Start Up programme’s European Enterprise Challenge final took place in Riga (Latvia) on June 25-27 with altogether 16 student start-up teams from 15 countries.
