Projects Communications Senior Associate

Supervisor: Head of Communications, Marketing and Policy

Type of Contract: Employee or Consultant contract (depending on location)

Location: Europe (remote)

Availability: Immediate

Available Budget: 22.000 - 24.000 euros/year gross (or equivalent as consultant) based on experience, location and contractual arrangements

Deadline: Rolling basis until filling the position

Period: 1 year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive communication and dissemination strategies for key projects on behalf of JA Europe.
  • Coordinate work package activities and ensure compliance with EU guidelines and regulations.
  • Plan, execute, and track social media campaigns across various platforms.
  • Ensure online visibility and engagement for projects through visually appealing content and a multi-year strategy.
  • Utilise analytics tools to track performance metrics and optimise online communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Translate project outcomes and impact into policy‑aligned narratives that strengthen JA Europe’s positioning at EU level.
  • Participate in Consortium meetings and calls with other partners of EU funded projects
  • Support media engagement activities, including drafting press materials and coordinating outreach,
  • Draft key texts such as position papers, impact summaries, policy messages, and partnership‑related communication materials.

The ideal candidate:

  • 4–5 years of experience in communications, preferably in an EU‑project or partnership context.
  • Strong understanding of EU‑funded project communication and dissemination requirements.
  • Proven experience creating impactful content and social media campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional European language is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret analytics and optimise content based on performance insights.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated interest in education, youth empowerment or EU‑funded initiatives is a plus.
  • Familiarity with communication tools powered by AI and Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and CMS platforms.
