PackX – Unpack Your Career, a joint initiative between JA Europe and EUROPEN, brought young people and industry experts together for a half-day experience designed to challenge perceptions and spark interest in packaging careers.

Through interactive activities, including a provocative statement game and small group discussions, students explored their views on the industry — often questioning its relevance before discovering its role in sustainability, innovation, and everyday life.

A hands-on co-creation workshop invited participants to design their own “dream packaging company,” encouraging them to think like CEOs and propose solutions around strategy, sustainability, and talent attraction.

The event concluded with a relaxed Coffee & Career session, where professionals from companies like Stora Enso, Dow, and Henkel shared their career journeys in an informal setting.

By creating space for honest dialogue and fresh ideas, PackX helped bridge the gap between youth and industry — showing that packaging is not just a necessity, but a field full of opportunity and impact.
