Amcham EU Youth Entrepreneurship Award

Since its launch in 2013, the annual AmCham EU Youth Entrepreneurship Award recognises young people who have gone through a JA programme and have chosen to become entrepreneurs. The Award aims to foster entrepreneurship in Europe and encourage young people to engage on this path. The AmCham EU Youth Entrepreneurship Award is supported by AmCham EU’s Executive Council. The winner receives mentorship from top European CEOs of AmCham EU member companies and a monetary prize toward their start-up.

The prize structure is designed to provide financial support and mentorship opportunities. Special recognition is also awarded to the JA organizations that nominate the winners.

Prize Breakdown

  • First Place: €10,000 and a 6-month mentorship program with European CEOs.
  • Second Place: €5,000 and a 6-month mentorship program with European CEOs.
  • Third Place: €2,500 and a 6-month mentorship program with European CEOs.

Celebrating Female Entrepreneurship

The commitment to female entrepreneurship, now in its fifth year, underlines a significant focus on diversity and inclusion within the entrepreneurial landscape. By recognizing the extraordinary contributions of female entrepreneurs, the award celebrates their success and inspires a future where entrepreneurship is accessible and rewarding for all.

Application and Selection Process

  • Call for Applications: The application process invites JA alumnae, who are between the ages of 18 and 35 and hold positions as CEO, Founder, or Co-founder, to present their start-ups for the award. Applicants must have participated in a JA program in Europe, demonstrate a keen interest in continuing their entrepreneurial journey, and be motivated to enhance their skills through mentorship opportunities provided by AmCham EU. Submissions include a comprehensive presentation covering all requested elements to be considered.
  • Jury Evaluation: Nominees undergo a thorough review by a distinguished jury. This panel assesses each nominee based on innovation, business growth potential, and their contribution to social and economic challenges.
  • Announcement of the Winner: The highlight of the award process is the grand announcement of the winner during the AmCham EU Gala. This year, the gala is scheduled for Tuesday, 25 June 2024, in Brussels.

Looking Forward to Celebrating Achievements

Even though the application window for this year has closed, we invite all interested parties to learn more about this initiative, celebrate the achievements of our participants, and stay tuned for future opportunities. The AmCham EU Youth Entrepreneurship Award remains a testament to the power of young entrepreneurs in shaping a brighter, more inclusive future.
