The Sci-Tech Challenge is designed to motivate students, aged 15-18, to consider science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-oriented careers, and to raise their awareness of the importance of their STEM skills and how they can be applied in enterprising ways to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
The Sci-Tech Challenge currently takes place in four European countries. It gives the opportunity to 1,900 young people in secondary schools to participate in the Sci-Tech Challenge programme in the academic year 2017-18. Over 40 employees from ExxonMobil participate as volunteers. 180 teachers experience the Sci-Tech Challenge each academic year.
