JA Europe’s 2024–2025 Annual Report: Building a competitive, resilient, and innovative Europe for all

12 November 2025, Brussels

JA Europe has unveiled its 2024–2025 Annual Report, marking a year of record-breaking impact and transformative progress in entrepreneurship, education, and employability. With over 7.5 million learning experiences delivered, a 15% increase from the previous year, the organisation continues to empower young Europeans with the skills and mindset to thrive in an increasingly competitive, digital and dynamic world.

A year of unprecedented impact

Building on strong momentum, JA Europe has expanded its reach and strengthened its network across 40+ countries. This year’s achievements include:

  • 7,537,001 learning experiences delivered across Europe.
  • 90,000 business volunteers and over 110,000 teachers worked with young people for a total of nearly 80 million contact hours across Europe.
  • A 24% increase in youth engagement and 23% growth in social media reach.
  • Over 6,000 new Entrepreneurial Skills Pass holders.

These numbers highlight JA Europe’s unwavering commitment to experiential learning that combines entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy, now enhanced by digital and AI skills.

Strategic priorities: boundless in action

Closing the “Boundless” Strategic Plan (2023–2025), JA Europe’s progress is built around four strategic pillars:

  • Accelerating Digital and AI Integration – Through initiatives like AI-ENTR4YOUTH and EU Code Week, JA Europe scaled AI and coding education to millions of learners. A new AI literacy certification, launched in 2025, will validate youth skills aligned with OECD and EU frameworks.
  • Empowering the Underserved – In partnership with the UniCredit Foundation, JA Europe’s Re-Power Your Future programme reduced school dropout rates by re-engaging vulnerable youth across 10 countries. Meanwhile, Economic Opportunities for All (EOfA), supported by NN Group, expanded employability pathways in Greece, Spain, Romania, Hungary, and Türkiye.
  • Cultivating Partnerships – JA Europe deepened collaboration with the European Commission, the World Economic Forum, and leading corporations. Programmes like Girls Go Circular and Skills4Retail are building future-ready workforces and promoting gender equity in STEM and retail sectors.
  • Strengthening OneJA – A historic milestone in brand alignment united JA organisations across Europe under one global identity, amplifying visibility and impact. In addition, support from FERD and Norwegian Property ASA ensured the continuation of programmes in five countries affected by funding transitions.

Celebrating Europe’s changemakers

The year was rich in recognition and celebration:

  • Gen-E 2025, held in Athens, welcomed 1,000+ participants from 50+ countries, making it Europe’s largest entrepreneurship festival to date.
  • The AmCham Youth Entrepreneurship Award 2025 honoured BioBliss from Bulgaria for its sustainable battery innovation.
  • JA Spain earned the prestigious TJ Bata Quality Award 2024, while JA Finland’s financial literacy model was showcased in the Financial Times.
  • Over 270 JA leaders joined McKinsey.org’s Ability to Execute programme, reinforcing the network’s leadership and collaboration capacity.

A shared vision for 2050

As highlighted by Laurence Morvan, Chair of JA Europe, and Salvatore Nigro, CEO of JA Europe, in their joint reflection:

“The next chapter of Europe’s story is being written by its youth. Our mission remains clear, to empower every young person with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to imagine, create, and lead with purpose.”

Looking ahead, JA Europe reaffirms its bold vision to reach 20 million young Europeans annually by 2050, fostering a more competitive, resilient, and inclusive Europe.
