Revolutionary Sportswear Design Wins AmCham EU YEA 2024

The American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) and JA Europe proudly announce Rosanna Collis as the winner of the Youth Entrepreneurship Award (YEA) 2024.

Rosanna Collis – Tiaki, UK

Rosanna, the visionary behind Tiaki, has been recognized for her groundbreaking work in the sportwear industry. Tiaki is a groundbreaking startup focused on designing innovative sports protection specifically for women, starting with their flagship product: Bra-Vo. This product is a specialised protective insert for sports bras designed to prevent breast injuries in high impact sports. Developed through extensive research and validated by scientific studies, Tiaki aims to address the unique biological needs of female athletes.

In accepting the award, Rosanna expressed gratitude and shared her vision for the future. “I am excited and feel privileged to have had the support from JA Europe, Young Enterprise UK and AmCham EU. The mentorship and the financial rewards will start the transformation of women’s sports,” said Rosanna.

The AmCham EU YEA 2024 finalists, Rosanna Collis of Tiaki, Janna Naser of Alga Insulation, and Maria Manoli of E-mbracelet, each showcased exceptional talent and innovation. The competition highlighted the diverse and dynamic entrepreneurial landscape in Europe, and all finalists were commended for their contributions. Maria Manoli, a Business Administration graduate from the University of Cyprus, launched E-mbracelet, a groundbreaking application designed to improve the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Inspired by her cousin’s challenges with non-verbal communication and noise sensitivity, Maria developed E-mbracelet to provide personalized sound management solutions. The app tracks individual triggers and offers real-time alerts to caregivers, fostering a supportive environment for individuals with ASD. Janna has founded Alga Insulation, an innovative startup addresses environmental challenges by creating insulation material from algae, providing a sustainable solution for coastal communities in Sweden. Alga Insulation is set to transform the construction industry’s approach to insulation, earning Janna recognition and support through various grants and scholarships.

JA Europe CEO, Salvatore Nigro, and AmCham EU CEO, Susan Danger, shared their remarks and their perspectives on the award’s significance during the event.
