Kathryn Novkova

Events Intern

Kathryn is the Events Intern at JA Europe, where she plays a key role in organizing dynamic events that inspire and engage young people across Europe. With a Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Economy, Development, and Sustainability and a Master’s in Urban Studies, Kathryn combines academic knowledge with hands-on experience in event management to create impactful experiences. She has coordinated a variety of events that merge event logistics with sustainability, including Toyota Green Month, a campaign that brought together teams across 30+ countries to promote environmental awareness, and World Cleanup Day, where she managed logistics and communication for a local community event. Having studied and worked in Ireland, Denmark, Australia, the United States, and beyond, Kathryn brings a global perspective to her work. Her ability to adapt to multicultural settings and collaborate with diverse teams is central to her success in creating events that are not only well-organized but also inclusive and meaningful. While passionate about sustainability, Kathryn is equally committed to making events accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. She has written articles on topics like carbon neutrality and the circular economy, helping bridge the gap between complex sustainability concepts and everyday understanding. In her free time, Kathryn enjoys exploring cities and discovering new places, uncovering local culture, history, and unique experiences along the way. Joining JA Europe marks the next step in her journey to empower youth and drive positive change through education, innovation, and well-executed events.
