JA Europe is looking for a motivated New Business Development Senior Associate to support our sales, fundraising and new business development efforts and help grow the resources needed to inspire and prepare young people for employment, entrepreneurship and financial success.
Position Overview: JA Europe is seeking a proactive and mission-driven New Business Development Senior Associate to join the Development Team. The team generate revenues for JA Europe and its network of 40+ JA organisations across Europe, working with corporate partners, foundations and other supporters who share our commitment to youth empowerment.
In this role, you will help identify and qualify new funding opportunities, build targeted prospect lists, support tailored outreach, contribute to sales and fundraising for Europe’s largest entrepreneurship festival Gen-E, develop compelling proposals and presentations, and maintain disciplined systems for tracking relationships, next steps and opportunities. You will work closely with colleagues across JA Europe to translate our programmes, impact data and strategic priorities into clear, persuasive partnership propositions. Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect research: Build and maintain targeted prospect lists by identifying and assessing new corporate, client, foundation and donor opportunities aligned with JA Europe’s mission, priorities and revenue goals.
- Opportunity qualification: Analyse prospect priorities, funding interests, decision-making structures and strategic fit.
- Partner cultivation: Prepare tailored outreach, briefing notes, meeting materials and follow-up actions that help move qualified prospects through the pipeline from first contact to concrete partnership discussions.
- Proposal development: Create compelling proposals, concept notes, pitch decks and sponsorship materials, including for Gen-E.
- Internal coordination: Gather inputs from programmes, communications, impact and finance to ensure high-quality, partner-ready materials.
- Pipeline management: Maintain accurate prospect lists, contact records and development tracking tools from identification to decision.
- Stewardship: Support partner updates, reports, renewal materials and relationship touchpoints that demonstrate impact.
- Market intelligence: Track donor trends, funding opportunities and emerging areas of alignment for JA Europe.

The ideal candidate will bring:
1–3 years’ relevant experience in sales, fundraising, business development, partnerships, marketing, communications or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, persuasive messages.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with curiosity about companies, sectors, philanthropic trends and partnership opportunities.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and follow-ups in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident using Microsoft 365; experience with CRM systems, donor databases or pipeline tracking tools is an advantage.
- Collaborative, proactive and comfortable working remotely with colleagues and stakeholders across countries and cultures.
- Fluency in English is required; another European language is an asset.
