The Development Team generates revenues for JA Europe and its network of 40+ JA organisations across Europe, working with corporate partners, foundations and other supporters who share our commitment to youth empowerment.

You will work closely with colleagues across JA Europe and its European network to ensure effective partnership delivery, communicate impact and develop opportunities that create additional value for both JA Europe and its partners.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys relationship management, partnership development and fundraising, and wants to contribute to the growth and long-term sustainability of a high-impact European organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Manage and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of existing corporate and foundation partners, ensuring regular communication, partner satisfaction and effective collaboration.
  • Account Growth & Fundraising: Proactively identify opportunities to grow existing partnerships, increase funding, expand programmes into additional countries and develop new initiatives aligned with partners’ strategic priorities.
  • Accounts Retention & Renewals: Support and coordinate account renewal processes, prepare renewal proposals and contribute to securing continued and multi-year funding commitments.
  • Strategic Accounts Development: Identify opportunities to strengthen existing collaborations and develop deeper, long-term strategic partnerships that create shared value and measurable impact.
  • Account Delivery & Coordination: Work closely with internal teams and JA national organisations to ensure the successful implementation of partnership activities, contractual commitments and agreed deliverables.
  • Impact Reporting & Partner Communication: Coordinate the preparation of high-quality progress reports with Education team, and partner communications that demonstrate the results and value of JA Europe’s programmes.
  • Partner Engagement & Visibility: Support partner engagement opportunities, including corporate volunteering, employee involvement, events, awards and sponsorship activities, particularly at GEN-E, Europe’s largest entrepreneurship festival.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare tailored partnership proposals, concept notes, presentations and funding opportunities to support partnership expansion and renewal discussions.
  • Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with Programme/Education, Communications, Finance and Development colleagues to ensure effective partnership management and identify opportunities for collaboration across teams.
  • Account Management & Tracking: Maintain accurate partner records, contractual information, reporting deadlines, renewal timelines and partnership growth opportunities using internal tracking systems.
  • Strategic Insights & Continuous Improvement: Monitor partners’ evolving priorities, CSR and ESG strategies, and funding interests, while contributing ideas to improve stewardship processes, partner engagement and fundraising effectiveness.

If you are an enthusiastic, proactive and relationship-oriented professional who enjoys working with partners, identifying growth opportunities and contributing to the long-term success of a mission-driven organisation, we would love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in partnership management, account management, fundraising, business development, corporate relations, project coordination or a related field.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain positive, long-term relationships with corporate and foundation partners.
  • A proactive and growth-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities to strengthen and expand existing partnerships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to prepare compelling proposals, presentations, reports and partner communications.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple partnerships, priorities, deadlines and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to understand partnership objectives, funding commitments and programme results.
  • A collaborative and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and with international stakeholders.
  • Confidence in communicating with corporate partners and supporting partnership meetings, negotiations and renewal discussions.
