Join the Code4Europe Movement: Empower Digital Transformation!

The Code4Europe Consortium, an international alliance of over 40 leading educational and digital industry stakeholders from 20 European countries, is thrilled to announce a new phase for EU Code Week. Funded by the European Commission, this initiative is set to revolutionise digital education and skills across Europe.

A Vision for the Future

The Code4Europe Consortium is committed to expanding and enhancing digital education, building on the successes of EU Code Week since its inception in 2013. Our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of digitally-savvy Europeans, ensuring that programming and tech skills are accessible to all.

Salvatore Nigro, CEO of JA Europe said at the kick-off meeting:

Code4Europe is fundamental in empowering Europeans with the skills to thrive in the digital economy. JA Europe is thrilled to lead such an impactful initiative and we look forward to leveraging our respective networks to bring coding and digital literacy to every European.

Diana Filip, Deputy CEO and Chief Development Officer at JA Europe added:

We have built an amazing consortium which will work together to grow and expand the European Code Week by capitalizing on the previous success, creating a grassroots movement, building on new innovations and encouraging everyone to join forces. Only by working together and in collaboration we can turn the ambitious vision of impacting 25 million youth with digital skills into a reality.

Key Initiatives to Engage With

  • National and Regional Hubs: Launching across Europe starting in July 2024, these hubs will be central points for promoting EU Code Week activities and sharing information. They will offer vital support to our community, ensuring the valuable efforts and successes of previous years are preserved and amplified.

  • Support for Community: Empowering Ambassadors, Leading Teachers, and Edu Coordinators with comprehensive resources and support to expand their impact in local communities.
