Arconic Foundation 'Innovative Recycling and Reuse Award'3 June 2020 Location: Online Finals
Throughout the school year, 'Inventing the Future', an initiative of JA Europe and the Arconic Foundation, exposes secondary school and VET students from France, Germany, Hungary and the UK to different issues and challenges related to material innovation in the manufacturing industry.
Waste and the depletion of natural resources are significant global issues. The environmental impact is significant, with massive volumes of waste generated annually. Design for recycling, urban mining and the extensive reuse of materials enable waste prevention and often turning previously used materials into a completely new useful product. The Arconic Foundation supports the Innovative Recycling and Reuse Award as its mission is to help prepare tomorrow's workforce for careers that advance the future of manufacturing while keeping communities strong and vibrant.
Student companies have been working to find a solution to the increasing volumes of waste generated by a growing global population with improving living standards. The national winning teams will be participating in the Online Competition Final (3 June 2020), competing against each other in front of a high-level international jury panel.
