Murcia became a hub of innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth potential as it hosted the latest stop of the Tour del Talento 2026, a nationwide initiative dedicated to empowering young people through education, skills development, and opportunity.
The highlight was the Princesa de Girona CongresFest, the flagship event of the Tour, presided over by His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain. The gathering brought together institutional leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, and thousands of young people to celebrate talent, ambition, and the transformative power of education.
Representing the JA network were Salvatore Nigro, CEO of JA Europe, and Inés Bertrand Muiños, Executive Director of Cataluña at Junior Achievement Spain, who joined the event to advocate for a vision of talent that goes beyond academic achievement. JA Europe’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to equipping young people with the entrepreneurial, financial capabilities, and work readiness skills needed to succeed in the future economy. This mission aligns closely with the work of the Fundación Princesa de Girona, whose initiatives continue to create meaningful opportunities for young people across Spain, as well as with the efforts of the Ayuntamiento de Murcia in bringing the Tour del Talento to the city.
The event also coincided with a significant milestone: 25 years of Junior Achievement in Spain. Over the past quarter century, Junior Achievement Spain has helped thousands of young people connect learning with real life, developing the skills, mindset, and confidence needed to navigate an increasingly complex world.
Through initiatives such as the Tour del Talento and partnerships like the Z Zurich Foundation’s Z-SHAKE programme, JA Europe and JA Spain continue to support young people in building future-ready skills, fostering entrepreneurship, and unlocking opportunities for the next generation.
